Automatic Precision Irrigation System Empowers Quality and Efficiency Improvement of Avocado Plantations in Dubai

Dubai features an arid climate with scarce rainfall and limited freshwater resources, coupled with a high degree of soil salinization. Traditional irrigation methods fail to meet the growth characteristics of passion fruit that require precise water and fertilizer supply; they also easily lead to water and fertilizer waste and secondary soil salinization, becoming a core constraint for the development of the local passion fruit planting industry.The automatic precision irrigation system implemented in this project integrates soil moisture, salinity and crop growth sensors to real-time monitor key growth data of passion fruit. Relying on intelligent algorithms, it automatically adjusts the water-fertilizer ratio and irrigation frequency, and precisely delivers water and fertilizer to the crop roots through a drip irrigation pipe network.
